S.T. Joshi – The Weird World of Horror Fiction
Join us for an in-depth conversation with scholar S.T. Joshi, one of the foremost authorities on H.P. Lovecraft. We will also be exploring the world of “weird fiction” as S. T. discusses some of the most controversial writers from the period of 1880-1940, including Arthur Machen, Algernon Blackwood, Lord Dunsany, M. R. James, and Ambrose Bierce.
S. T. Joshi is a freelance writer and editor. He has prepared comprehensive editions of H.P. Lovecraft’s collected fiction, essays, poetry, and letters and other critical and biographical studies of supernatural fiction. He also prepared textually corrected and annotated editions of Ambrose Bierce, Arthur Machen, Lord Dunsany, and other weird writers. With David E. Schultz, he has begun a long-range project to edit Lovecraft’s collected letters, in a projected 25 volumes.
