Midnight FM is throwing its first event in Europe! And it will be a very special night at that especially for the village of Magganitis on the island of Ikaria.
Host Socrates welcomes his cousin and DC based selector Christos (aka “Stos”) for a dance party in the bar built by their great-grandfather: «Ο Δοριφορος» or “The Satellite”. If the name sounds odd for a small village cafe, Stos and Socrates' communist great-grandfather named it in honor of Sputnik when it was launched in 1957.
Stos’ style combines the sounds of the Mediterranean with the Midwest featuring a unique mix of Italo Disco, French House, Detroit Techno, and the emerging sound of “Disco Greco”. There is no cover, music starts at 11pm and goes until people leave (Ikarian style!).
This will likely be the first of many performances for Stos in Europe, especially Greece, as he looks to be based out of there a few months a year going forward.
